SWIFT transfer fee calculator: SWIFT vs stablecoin
A cross-border business payment costs 1.6% of the amount on average, mostly in FX, and only 39.6% of B2B payments arrive within one business day, according to the Financial Stability Board's 2025 report. Enter your amount and fees below to compare that route with a stablecoin transfer, side by side.
Every default can be changed. SWIFT figures come from the FSB 2025 report; stablecoin fees are ItisPay estimates, marked as such. The intermediary-bank fee is empty for you to fill in.

How the calculator works
SWIFT route: amount times FX cost, plus amount times fees, plus the number of intermediary banks times the fee per bank. FX is the largest part: the FSB found it made up 87.1% of the average B2B cost in 2025.
Stablecoin route: amount times the fee to buy the stablecoin, plus amount times the fee to sell it on the receiving side, plus the network fee. Time is the time to finality on the network you choose. Conversion and payout times come on top.
The typical time for SWIFT switches from B2B to wholesale figures at 100,000, the FSB's threshold in US dollars. In other currencies, treat it as a rough guide.
Questions about SWIFT transfer fees
The FSB puts the average cost of a B2B cross-border payment at 1.6% in 2025: 1.4% for FX and 0.2% in fees, based on FXC Intelligence data from March 2025. Your bank may charge more or less, and intermediary banks can add their own charges.
For B2B payments under USD 100,000, the FSB reports that 2.2% were credited within one hour and 39.6% within one business day in 2025. For wholesale payments of USD 100,000 or more, the figures were 54.6% and 93.2%.
When your bank has no direct relationship with the recipient's bank, the payment passes through one or more correspondent banks. Each one can charge for handling it. Charges vary by bank and corridor, so this calculator has no default. Enter the figure your bank quotes.
No. You pay to convert fiat into stablecoins and back, and you need a licensed provider for both fiat legs. If both sides already use instant euro transfers, a bank payment may be simpler. Enter real quotes from your providers to compare.
On Ethereum a block takes about 15 minutes to finalize, according to ethereum.org. Other networks have different times. The conversion to fiat and the payout to a bank account add time on top, so ask your provider for its payout time.
